Really loved Ruth's advice to plan early! So helpful when navigating birth in a foreign country. Also, her question, "How are you going to address the gap?" is crucial when your expectations and the expectations of those around you don't match. This question takes the pressure off good vs. bad or right vs. wrong. Instead, this helpful question redirects my focus to next steps and working toward a solution with the health care provision I have!

Rachel, I'm so glad you found that question helpful. Realistically, there IS going to be a gap. Recognizing what that gap looks like and then working to find a solution I can live with was what was most helpful for me.
